Privacy Policy
In force from 18 September 2026. Written to the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173) and its rules.
The short version. Reading this site is anonymous — we never learn who you are. We only hold your name, mobile number, email and income if you type them into an application form yourself.
We never ask for your contacts, photos or call logs. We never sell your details. Email inkyyuoh@gmail.com and we delete them.
Who we are
Pautang Check is an independent loan comparison page for the Philippines, run as a sole proprietorship. We are not a lender, we do not decide applications, and no lender pays to appear here or to rank higher.
For anything about your data, including requests to see or delete it, write to inkyyuoh@gmail.com. That address reaches the person responsible for data protection here, and we answer within 15 working days.
What we collect
1. When you just browse
Nothing that identifies you. We count how the page is used so we can tell which lenders people find useful:
- the loan amount and repayment term you move the sliders to
- which lenders you opened or clicked through to
- which buttons and questions you pressed, and which articles you read
- a random session code kept only until you close the tab, so repeated actions in one visit are not counted as separate people
This goes to Google Analytics 4, which also sets its own cookies and records your approximate location from your IP address. None of it carries your name, number or email.
2. When you fill in an application form
Only if you complete the form at /apply/ and tick the consent box. We collect exactly these:
| What | Why the lender needs it |
|---|---|
| First, middle and last name | Every lender must identify a borrower by full legal name. |
| Mobile number and email | How the lender reaches you about the application. |
| Monthly income | Lenders set a minimum income and compute your debt-to-income ratio. |
| Region, province or city, and city or municipality | Several lenders only serve certain areas. |
| Employment status | Determines which income documents you will be asked for. |
| Whether you hold a credit card | Some products require an existing card. |
| Loan amount, term, and what the money is for | The loan you are asking for. |
| Which lender, and the exact policy pages you accepted | So there is a record of what you agreed to, even if the lender later moves the page. |
| Time of submission, session code, browser and device string | To spot duplicate and automated submissions. |
We do not collect your ID numbers, date of birth, address, bank details, payslips, contacts, photos, call logs, or anything the National Privacy Commission classifies as sensitive personal information.
Why we are allowed to hold it
Your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us, and withdrawing it does not affect any loan you have already taken out with a lender.
Who else sees it
Three companies process data for us. None of them may use it for their own purposes.
- Google — Firebase Firestore stores application submissions on servers in Singapore, and Google Analytics 4 handles the anonymous usage counts.
- Vercel — hosts the site. Its servers keep short-lived request logs that include your IP address, as any web server does.
- Gabia — operates the domain name. It sees no visitor data.
Lenders. Nothing is sent to a lender automatically. Today the application form ends by handing you to the lender’s own website, where you complete their form yourself. If that ever changes, we will name each lender on this page and ask for your consent again before anything is passed on. We will never pass your details to a lender that is not licensed by the SEC or supervised by the BSP.
We do not sell, rent or trade your details to anyone, for any price.
How long we keep it
| Data | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Application submissions | 12 months from the day you submit, then deleted. Sooner if you ask. |
| Anonymous usage counts | 14 months, the Google Analytics retention setting. |
| Session code in your browser | Until you close the tab. |
| A copy of your own submission saved in your browser | Stays on your device only. Clear your browser data to remove it. |
How it is protected
The whole site is served over HTTPS. The application database is configured so that the website can only add a submission — it cannot read, change or delete anything back. Even someone who copied every line of code from this site could not retrieve a single submission with it.
No system is perfect. If a breach ever affects your data, we will notify you and the National Privacy Commission within 72 hours of discovering it, as RA 10173 requires.
Your rights
Under RA 10173 you may ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy
- correct anything that is wrong
- delete or block it
- stop processing it, or withdraw your consent
- hand it to you in a portable electronic format
Email inkyyuoh@gmail.com. We do not charge for any of this. If you are unhappy with how we answer, you can complain to the National Privacy Commission.
Children
You must be at least 18 to borrow in the Philippines, and this site is not for anyone younger. If you believe a minor has submitted a form, tell us and we will delete it.
Cookies
We set no cookies of our own. Google Analytics sets its own to tell one visit from another. Blocking them in your browser costs you nothing on this site — every page and the loan calculator work exactly the same.
Changes
If we change how we handle your data, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes that affect submissions already held will be emailed to the people affected.
